James Vic­tore is a man of action. He believes that know­ing about jazz and wine and auto-racing can make you a bet­ter designer. Veerle is one the design industry’s most savvy and branded design­ers. Her can­did inter­view with The Graphic Design School, reveals a charm and savoir faire that has seen her (deservedly) shoot to the top of her game. Based in Bel­gium Veerle stud­ied graphic design and print, before mov­ing into web design.

We inter­viewed one of the most tal­en­ted French Design­ers. This is what he had to say about himself…

I am Fabien Bar­ral. I am a graphic designer. I am pas­sion­ate about images and graphic design. I am a hus­band and I love my wife. I am a father and I love my daugh­ter. I am not the cli­ents I work with, I am the art I cre­ate with them. I am what I cre­ate. I cre­ate what I am.

The most dif­fi­cult part of being a cre­at­ive of any kind is idea gen­er­a­tion. Why do you think there are so many copy-cats out there? There are sev­eral meth­ods avail­able to brainstorm.

Mind map­ping has been around since the 70’s, it’s uses and attrac­tion is snow­balling. So what is it? And how does it apply to Graphic Design?
