I just don't understand why we should avoid using Powerpoint when we do the portfolio presentation? What is wrong is Powerpoint? What software we should use? Adobe PDF or JPG? Regarding to the laptop, I agree that Apple looks cool and better taste, but it doesn't run some of the basic software. Why we have to buy an Apple laptop? Very good advices.
