The only thing I would add is the question of a payment terms; always, ALWAYS specify that you will require 50% up front and won't hand over any completed artwork until you've been paid in full. Any client who is serious about the project will accept this as reasonable, and it also has the benefit of deterring time-wasters who wouldn't be worth working for at any price!
